Announcing: Sugar High Fridays - Bar Cookies


Welcome to the 67th edition of Sugar High Fridays, the long-running and popular monthly online food event tailor made for all of us sweet-a-holics, created by Jennifer of The Domestic Goddess.

This month's theme, which I am happy to be hosting, is Bar Cookies. Whether they are one-bowl brownies, butterscotch-y blondies, or elaborately layered creations of textures and tastes (like Naniamos), you can send your rectangular treats my way for the next three weeks to be included in the round-up the last Friday of June. All world cuisines are welcome to join in.

Create and post a bar cookie recipe by Monday, June 21, including links to this announcement as well as Jennifer's Sugar High Fridays post. Archived recipes can only be accepted if they are reposted as current. June 20 UPDATE: I will accept late participants through Thursday, June 24.

Email your posts to me at thewellseasonedcook AT yahoo DOT com with SHF in the subject and provide the following details:

Name

Blog Name (those who do not blog are also welcome to join in – just email your recipes and photos)

Recipe Name and URL

Photo – 400 wide.

Use of the logo is optional.


I will post the round-up on Friday, June 25.

Susan, do these bars have to be from scratch? I just made some brownies and blondies using cake mix which I am yet to post. Do they qualify?

Just a quick question. Is there a limit on how many entries a person can send? I have already sent two and I just baked two bars for a picnic this weekend. If you'll accept them, I'll post them before deadline. Thanks.

So sad I don't have enough time to enter this. Growing up in the midwest, bar cookies were practically a thing.
