CLICK - Wood: Curd Chiles
Curd Chiles in Carved Wood
This is my non-competing photo entry for Jugalbandi's CLICK - Wood. I have the pleasure of helping to judge this month's event. Please click the link for full details. There is still plenty of time for you to shoot and submit. Good luck to all the participants.

Susan! I nearly fell off my chair.
ReplyDeleteNow THAT is 'wood'. Alive, warm and exquisitely carved by the human hand. The detail! Just gorgeous.
gorgeous. thank you, susan!!
ReplyDeleteWow! Beautiful picture.
ReplyDeleteSooo Pretty! looks like hand carved from kashmir.
ReplyDeletethat is just gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeletebeautiful click. i love curd chillies - mmm. the carving on the wood is simply lovely!
ReplyDeleteI have almost a wooden bowl like this and i do have cur chillies, but i would have never thought of clicking them, i am not creative like this.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea and the click.
We used to have this flower around a lot when I was growing up, called Wood Rose. It looks nothing like the chillies or the carved flowers, it was a fragile thing that would crack - why did I remember that when I saw this? It was the colour of the wood, I think.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, it also strikes me as I write that a fried curd chilli and a wood rose are very much alike - crackly and fragile.
What a beautiful photo, Susan!
ReplyDeleteSuch a stunning photo Susan!
ReplyDeleteI saw this picture at the CLICK gallery. I have a small wooden inlaid three legged table whost top is carved like this.
ReplyDeleteAnd those chillies are a favourite, with rice and some fresh yogurt.
Well, lucky for all the entrants that you didn't submit this one to be judged. Drop dead gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteSo warm, cool and beautiful picture, susan.
ReplyDeleteThis is just Superb Susan..!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you've captured these two juxtaposed textures- I was awestruck from the moment I saw it; lucky it wasn't an entry..hands down!
ReplyDeleteThank you, everyone! As Pel said, the textures worked, and I was blessed with good natural light that day. I love these little guys; the salt and heat really satisfy in a way that potato chips don't.
ReplyDeleteAll your pictures are just Awesome! I love Mor Milagai.. it takes my memori back to my childhood :)
