Helping Out a Fellow Blogger

Word is out now, moving as fast and blazing as only the brush fire of the internet can make possible, about the plight of one among us, Briana Brownlow, of Figs With Bri. Bri has been revisited with cancer, this time even more seriously. The folks at Jugalbandi, among other bloggers, have spearheaded a campaign to raise awareness and funds to support Bri during her latest rounds of treatment.

There are many ways of helping:

I have been blogging for over a year. I do not know Bri; we are not personal friends; and I have never visited her blog before. It does not matter. I know who she is now. That is enough.

Steven Grellet, the French nobleman and Quaker missionary said it best. I can do no better justice for a cause than his words:
“I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good things, therefore, that I can do, any kindness that I can show a fellow being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”
Thank you for reading this post.

Asha – There are so many bloggers out there, it is hard to keep discover them all. Too bad we’ve learned about Bri under these circumstances, but it is never too late.

I have seen fresh turmeric (haldi, yes?) in the Indian grocer, but never unpeeled. I’ll go have a look at your post. Thanks for the kind words.
