Dyeing to Try Them - Naturally Colored Eggs

No disrespect to Paas, a box of which I have stashed unopened for the last few years, but I'd rather have these.

There's a lot to love. Easter is full of all sorts of blessings. I actually found fertile eggs yesterday for the first time in my local supermarket - and we're not even talking about Whole Foods. How cool is that?

One my farmers' market vendors--who happens to live on a quarter-acre lot and raises all of his produce there--keeps these chickens in his back yard. The eggs are a lovely Victorian blue. Since the chickens eat the grubs and weed seedlings in the home-farmer's yard, the yolks are so rich in beta-carotenes that they're orange.
